Internal Audit

The Internal Audit department of Mutasa Rural District Council is an independent, objective assurance and consulting arm of the local authority designed to add value and improve Council operations through a systematic, disciplined approach that improves the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.

The department’s functions include the Evaluation of the Council’s risk management, control and governance processes; Monitoring compliance with policies and procedures, plans, sound business practices, laws, contractual obligations and regulations; Facilitating review of policies, Reviewing of internal control systems, Undertaking investigations, and facilitating external auditing.
